Cal. 357 Mag. S# 819. Mfg. 1956 as one of only 1,349 revolvers produced that year. Early Colt Pythons are highly sought after due to their superior quality . Revolver features a 6" barrel with ventilated rib, serrated ramp front sight and fully adjustable U-Notch rear sight. Left side of frame bares the Rampant Colt logo. Left side of barrel stamped "PYTHON .357 / .357 MAGNUM CTG". Right side of barrel marked with Colt patent information. Full coverage "Royal Blue" finish. Original 2 piece checkered walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. CONDITION: very good overall, metal retains 95% original blue with light muzzle wear, thinning at crane, and thinning above left grip panel. Right side frame screw shows minor wear to slot with a few finish scratches. Light cyl. Drag line present. Grips are very good with light finish at front wear strap area from handling. Very good bore with sharp rifling. (26-314/BH). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
